The National Organisation for Governance & Local Development Support (NOGLD) marks the International Day of Peace, observed annually on 21 September, as an occasion to reaffirm the values of dialogue, tolerance, coexistence, and the rejection of violence. In Libya, this day reminds us of the importance of overcoming the legacy of division and conflict, advancing national reconciliation, upholding the rule of law, and building trust across the country’s regions and diverse communities. Peace is a shared responsibility. It begins with prioritising dialogue, accepting differences, rejecting hate speech, and working towards a safe and stable homeland that safeguards the dignity of all Libyans and secures their right to a better future.
