Meeting of Civil Society Organizations in Ubari

As part of the ISAL project, the Southern Region team organized a meeting on July 17, 2022, with civil society organizations in Ubari, including "Ana Mutatawileen," "Humat Al-Diyar," "Ubari Community Partnership," and "Azjer Association," with the participation of civil activist Amina Abdul Salam Al-Mahdi. Participants discussed the study's recommendations on the role of civil society organizations in enhancing community participation, successful collaboration experiences with the municipality such as the Citizen's Budget initiative, and topics related to transparency, accountability, and the empowerment of women and youth. The meeting serves as a preparatory step for an upcoming gathering with the municipal council to discuss the implementation of the recommendations, within the framework of the Local Services Development and Accountability Strengthening Program #Eishal, funded by the European Union and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
